Conveyor belts
Forbo Siegling has been producing and distributing conveyor belts under the brand name TRANSILON since the nineteen sixties.
With the aid of our fabrication facilities and our comprehensive stocks in Werdohl we will be able to help you rapidly!

Structures
Depending on design and goods being transported, Siegling Transilon patterned belts guarantee ideal grip and good release properties. With selected patterned belts, gradient angles of up to 30° can be achieved for inclined conveying. Patterned belts therefore represent an economic alternative to profile belts for the transportation of not only bulk goods. A combination of patterned belts with longitudinal or lateral profiles is often possible.
Patterns can be peeled off at the belt edge up to a width of 150 mm (e.g. for clamps in swan-neck conveyors).
Mechanical fasteners
Mechanical fasteners offer the possibility of being able to change a belt rapidly without dismantling machine components, carry out a fast belt repair with an insert part and achieve quick and easy endless belt splicing.
Mechanical fasteners can nearly “disappear” depending on the type of belt.
There are the following design possibilities:
- Standard – the ends of the belt are not processed
- Embedded – in this case the carrying side coating is peeled off
- In this case the carrying side coating is peeled off and hot-glued back on again after the fastener has been pressed in
The following fasteners are available:
- Wire-hook connectors (HS)
- Clamp connectors (CS)
- Plastic connectors (KS)
Lateral profile, longitudinal profile, corrugated sidewall profiles
Conveyor belts fitted with lateral profiles are used for the inclined transportation of bulk goods and small items.
Sidewall profiles are used – often in conjunction with lateral profiles – for the containment of goods at the sides when conveying bulk goods.
Lateral forces can be absorbed by welded-on longitudinal profiles in the area of the bench.
Profiles are available in a wide variety of shapes and sizes.
